Yesterday at St Nicholas church, year 6 had the opportunity to be the first school in Wales to fly drones around the church. Jamie, the pilot who was controlling the drone, was showing us how to set up and fly the drone. There was two cameras taking snaps whatever happened! There was a camera connected to the drone which also took pictures of us, we were here because they wanted to create a digital map of the graveyard. That’s why a camera was attached to the drone to see where the gravestones were, he then asked us: “How hight in metres do you think it is at now?” Everyone was guessing but then I remembered he said how high he was taking it at the start “40?” I said, he replied “Yes, fourty” I the had the chance of FLYING THE DRONE. It was then break time but after we came back to scan the church with this camera looking machine on top of a yellow stand. It was really fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
THANK YOU TO
AND EVERYONE WHI SHOWED US THE DRONE AND MACHINES
